About Me

Profile photo of Tayyeba

Hi, I'm Tayyeba

I graduated with a BSc in Computer Science and will be continuing my studies with a Master's in Cyber Security. My interests sit at the intersection of systems, security, and problem-solving — understanding how technology works under the hood and how to make it more secure and reliable

I originally started in data and software development, which gave me a strong foundation in programming and analytical thinking. Recently I've been shifting my focus toward systems engineering, Linux environments, networking fundamentals, and cybersecurity practices.

This space documents the projects I'm building, the technologies I'm exploring, and the practical labs and experiments that are shaping my path into security and systems work.

What I Do

My work spans across programming, systems, and security. I enjoy building tools, experimenting with infrastructure, and understanding how software behaves at the system level.

I’m particularly interested in Linux environments, automation, networking, and security tooling. Much of my learning happens through hands-on projects and labs where I explore topics like system monitoring, scripting, and practical security techniques.

Coming from a background in data and development gives me a structured way of approaching technical problems — breaking systems down, understanding how they behave, and finding ways to improve them.

A Bit More

Favorite Things: Coffee/Tea, Problem-solving, Open-source, Minecraft building, Learning new frameworks

Current Focus: Building hands-on cybersecurity and systems projects while preparing for my MSc in Cyber Security.

Fun Fact: I love the intersection of creativity and logic— whether it's designing algorithms or building intricate Minecraft structures, I'm always exploring how systems work, because the "how it works" comes before "how to make it better!".
